a) i) Ovary:

  • It produces one egg every month.
  • Ovaries are also responsible for the production of some hormones.

ii) Oviduct:

  • Oviduct carries egg to the womb/ uterus through a thin oviduct or fallopian tube.
  • Two oviducts unite into an elastic bag-like structure known as the uterus.

b)

  • Uterus prepares itself each and every month to receive a fertilised egg/zygote.
  • If the egg is not fertilised, then the uterus lining is not required. Hence, it breaks down and gets released in the form of blood through the vagina.

c) Placenta is that organ which develops in your uterus during pregnancy. It provides oxygen and norishes the growing baby and removes waste products from your baby's blood.
