(1) Dabereiner's triads 

Advantge : It made chemists look at element in terms of group of element with similar properties.this led to tigorous classificationof elements.

LIMITATION : It identify only three traids from element known at that time eg. F,Cl, Br . THe atomic mass of Cl is not arithmatic mean of atomic masses of F and Br .

Newland's law of octave

ADVANTAGES : It provide basis for cl;assification of elements into groups of elements having similar properties .

LIMITATION : It assume only 56 elements existed in nature but later on many new elements are discover in future whose properties cannot defined as per law of octave.

MENDELEEV'S Periodic Table,

ADVANTAGES : He correctly predicate the properties of undiscoverd elements. eg. Scandium,germanium,gallium.

LIMITATION : Some elements having higher atomic masses are placed before those having lower atomic mass.

(2) Moseley was first scientist who showed that atomic number of an element is more fundamental property than its atomic mass.
