(a) Production of one's kind is called reproduction. It is giving birth to an organism similar to oneself :

        Reproduction is of 2 types ;

1. Sexual: It involves fusion and formation of gametes.

2. Asexual: It does not involve fusion and formation of gametes.  Eg. fission. fragmentation, budding etc.

(b) Unicellular organism mostly reproduces asexually.

        Eg. amoeba and paramecium by fission.

        Yeast - bu budding  

     In unfavourable conditions, the unicellular organism may also reproduce sexually by conjugate forming sex-pill. eg. Paramecium multicellular organisms depending on their complexing reproduce either sexually or asexually.

    Eg. (i) Budding or asexually

          (ii) Fragmentation in Planaria

           (iii) Spore formation in fungi

    Sexually by gamete formation 

        eg. complex plants and animals.
