(a) Write the functions of the following parts in human female reproductive system :
(i) Ovary
(ii) Fallopian tube
(iii) Uterus
(b) Describe the structure and functions of placenta.
(a)
(i) Ovary - It produces eggs after every 28 days.
(ii) Uterus - In this part embryo develops and it provides safety and nourishment to embryo.
(iii) Fallopian tube - These tubes are joint to the upper part of the uterus through this route egg travels from the ovary to uterus.
(b) Structure of Placenta - It is disc type structure which is embedded in the uterine wall this structure contains chronic villi (finger-like structure)
Functions of Placenta - It is found only in mammals by which a mother can provide a lot of nutrients to the embryo. It helps in the transfer of waste products from embryo to mother's blood.
