Answers (1)

Mid point D of side BC = (8/2, 2/2) = (4, 1)
A = (5, -3)        
Slope of AD = (-3 -1 ) / (5 - 4) = -4  

Slope of  BC = (2-0)/(8 - 0) = 1/4

Product of the slopes = -4 * 1/4 = -1    =>   hence AD and BC are perpendicular.
