The ability of eye lens to adjust its focal length by the action of its ciliary muscles is called power of accommodation. There should be contraction in ciliary muscles that will change the curvature of eye lens and become thicker so the focal length of eyes lens will decrease which enable us to see the nearby objects clearly.
