So the numbers in increasing order are

2.8 , 3.1 , 4.6 , 5.7 , 6.5 , 8.4

Total numbers=n=6 (which is an even)

So, the Median is given by

\begin{array}{l}M =\frac{\frac{n}{2} t h \ term+\left(\frac{n}{2}+1\right) t h \ term}{2} \\ \\ M=\frac{3 rd \ term+4 t h \ term}{2} \\ \\M =\frac{4.6+5.7}{2}=\frac{10.3}{2} =5.15 \end{array}
