cos^2x+sin^2x=1Rightarrow cosx=pm sqrt1-sin^2x

In the third quadrant cosx is negative and tanx is positive

\ cosx=-sqrt1-9/25=-4/5\ \Rightarrow tanx=sinx/cosx=3/4
