Hellen Keller's parents were troubled by her condition and were  willing to do anything to help her. They were shocked and very unhappy when Hellen due to a disease became suspectible to a life long deafness and blindness. It would have been very difficult for the parents to cope with her illness. They showed remarkable strength, courage and intelligence. They did their best to ensure that Hellen has a good start in her life. In order to provide her with as normal life as possible, they seek the help of Mr. Alexander Graham Bell. Hiring of Annie Sullivan on Mr. Alexander Graham's s suggestion was a good decision. Ms. Annie Sullivan was  herself visually challenged or  blind and had worked with special needs children. Her parents took risk to educate  Hellen  but the risk paid off well.
