Art and craft is known as the art of making beautiful things out of paper. These things are made with colorful sheets and papers . These paper come in various shapes, size and form. We can make various interesting things out if these paper such as handicrafts , puppets, animal figures, boats and craft things . This subject is aimed at increasing the artistic side of the students. It is a good way of expressing oneself and one's emotions. It develops one's creativity, artistic side  and problem solving ability. It increases the fun and enjoyment side of our life. The field of art and craft generally involves activities like drawing, painting, performing, sculpting, cinema, photography, theatre, drama and fashion designing. They all develop one's creativity and imagination. Crafts on the other hand include things such as Paperwork, Woodwork, Origami, Metal Work and Jwellery making. All these activities lead to development of  cognitive,  psychomotor abilities  a well as  development of emotional or creative abilities. These art and craft skills help in development of better children, better adults and better citizens. These skills provide an outlet for people to channelize their energies and give expression to it in socially acceptable form.
