If one root of the equation x^2 - ix -(1+i)=0 is 1+i , then find the other root.

Solution: Let alpha and eta be roots of the given equatio

                 alpha =1+i        alpha +eta =i

\Rightarrow (1+i)+eta =iRightarrow eta =-1

Hence , other root is -1 .
