Leaves of a potted plant are coated with Vaseline to block the stomata plant will not remain healthy because 

1. There will be no intake of carbon dioxide 

2. Vaseline layer prevents the plant from receiving sunlight thus stoping to perform the process of photosynthesis.

3. Due to vaseline, stomatas are blocked, thus the process of transpiration will not take place and hence plant will die gradually.
