When dil. HCl is added to a small amount of C_{4}O in a beaker then colour of the solution become blue-green ( bluish green)due to formation of C_{4}Cl_{2} (copper chloride)

    C_{4}O(s)+2HCl\rightarrow C_{4}Cl_{2}+H_{2}O
