Cell junction are a class of cellular structures consisting of multiprotein complexes that provide contact or adhesion between neighboring cells.  Also, it can be between a cell and the extracellular matrix in animals. Cell junctions are especially found abundantly in epithelial tissues. There are three major types of cell junction. They are:

1. Adherens junctions also known as desmosomes

2. Gap junctions

3.Tight junctions

It states that desmosomes are anchored to the cytoskeleton and are stronger cell junction out of all.
