The author was Deeply embarrassed because on the next day in school the author had lost everything in the fire. The clothes he was wearing looked old. These items are things such as backpacks. His backpack had burnt in the fire and his backpack was his life, and he was also not in his school dress, he was wearing his white tennis shoes which he took from his Aunt. He has no books or Homework. These words show his Insecurity and Fear and started saying that he did not want to grow up...I just want to die. These are some of his words that show his Insecurities and fears.
