In the story ,"The Thief's story" by . Hari Singh is a thief who befriends people in order to make money. His next target was Anil who was a simple looking person. Anil avoided Hari Singh's advances. However, when Hari Singh asked for work, Anil offered him work as a cook. Hari Singh didn't knew any work so Anil offered to teach him how to cook, read and write. Hari Singh lived a stable, respectable life under Anil. However, when once Anil brought six hundred rupees or money the thief in Hari Singh woke up. He stole the amount and went out to the railway station to run away from the place. However, he realised that he was living a good , honest and peaceful life. Everything that he has learned was taught to him by Anil. He didn't climbed any train and came back outside of the railway station. He sat down on the desk outside in the rain and decided to return back to Anil. He went back to him and kept the money back in the same spot but the money was wet.
