Activity :- When ethenol will be heated with excess of conc. H_{2}SO_{4}, at 443\; K, Ethene will be form

Chemical reaction :-

CH_{3}CH_{2}OH\overset{conc.H_{2}SO_{4}}{\rightarrow}CH_{2}=CH_{2}+H_{2}O

conc.H_{2}SO_{4} , works as dihydrating element, which removes water molecule from ethanol.
