BITSAT 2020: The full form of BITSAT is Birla institute of technology and science admission test, BITSAT 2020 is a university level exam. This exam is conducted every year for admission to integrated first-degree engineering, pharmacy and m.sc programs offered by the institute. candidates who qualified in the entrance exam are offered in admission at any of the three campuses Pilani Goa and Hyderabad. BITSAT 2020 exam will be conducted by BITS Pilani tentatively on 2nd week of May 2020. Along with the information brochure, the authority will release the BITSAT 2020 application form tentatively on the first week of January 2020 through online mode and along with the application form candidates have to pay application fees.

BITSAT 2020 Important Dates & Events

Candidates preparing for the BITSAT 2020 should know the important dates of the exam. Dates which are given in the below table are tentative. As soon as the important date of BITSAT 2020 is announced by the authorities, this table will be updated. Candidates can check the important dates (tentative) of BITSAT from the below table:

BITSAT 2020 Application Form

The authority will release the application form of BITSAT 2020 exam tentatively on 1st week of January 2020 through online mode. Before proceeding with the online application form, candidates will be required to register first, for registration they have to submit their name, email id, date of birth, and gender. Candidates who have made mistakes, while filling up the application form, would be able to make the changes in their application form. We suggest you fill the application form very carefully, do not rely on the correction process. Below are the steps to fill the online application form for BITSAT 2020:

  1. Go to the official website.
  2. Fill all the required details such as candidate name, email id, date of birth, and gender and register yourself.
  3. After the registration, the candidate will be required to fill application form where they have to submit your personal details, academic details, contact information and then they have to select exam center of their choice and submit the application form.
  4. After successfully submitted the required details, they have to submit the scanned photographs and signature and proceed to the last step
  5. In the last step, the candidate has to pay an application fee which is 3150 for male Candidates, 2650 for female candidates and for Dubai exam center it is RS. 5696.04/-
  6. Take a printout of acknowledging page for future reference.

BITSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Criteria: Candidates who will be appearing for 10+2 exam in 2020 or who have cleared the examination in 2020 are only eligible for this examination.
  • Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have cleared 10+2 exam from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent.
  • Qualifying Subjects Along with the Examination: Candidates appearing for BITSAT 2020 must clear 10+2 exam or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidate must score a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. In case the candidate has opted for Biology in BITSAT 2020, he/she should have scored a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Also, candidates need to make sure that they have scored at least 60% marks in each of the Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics/Biology subjects.

BITSAT 2020 Admit Card

The admit card will be available from 2nd week of April 2020, only after successfully completing the slot booking process.  BITSAT slot booking process will start from 4th week of March 2020.

To download the admit card candidates

  • Need to login to the portal using Application number, Gender, Date of birth, and Email id

  • After a successful login, the hall ticket will be displayed on the screen

  • Download and take a printout of the admit card.

Once candidates take the printout of admit card, candidates must sign it. Along with this, a recent photograph also needs to be affixed at the designated space after duly getting it attested by the head of an institution or gazetted officer. We suggest you check all the details mentioned on the admit card carefully. If candidates found any difficulty in downloading the BITSAT Admit card or do not receive the Admit Card then contact to the concerned authorities. The authorities will rectify the error at the earliest possibility.

BITSAT 2020 Syllabus

BITS Pilani, the exam conducting authority will release the BITS syllabus along with the information brochure. Before starting the preparation it is recommended to refer NCERT syllabus. The syllabus for BITSAT 2020 is included class 11th to class 12th NCERT syllabus. The BITSAT syllabus is divided into 2 parts:

  • Part-1 consists of 18 units from physics, 14 units from chemistry, 12 units from maths, 10 units from maths.

  • Part -2 consist of English proficiency and Logical Reasoning questions.

BITSAT 2020 Exam Pattern

  • Each incorrect answer would deduct 1 Mark.
  • No Marks will be awarded for questions not attempted.
  • If a candidate attempts all 150 questions without skipping in 180 minutes, they get 12 more questions to solve. The extra questions will be from Maths/Biology, Chemistry, Physics.
