Potential difference across each cell -

V'=\frac{V}{n}

Current through circuit

i=\frac{mnE}{mR+nr}

m=6,n=9,r=1\Omega,R=3\Omega

i=\frac{54*1}{18+9*1}= 2A

The potential difference across the external resistor =iR=6V

P.D. across each cell =\frac{6}{n}=\frac{6}{9}= \frac{2}{3}V
