A charge particle is free to move in an electric field. It will travel
A) Always along a line of force
B) Along a line of force, if its initial velocity is zero
C) Along a line of force, if it has some initial velocity in the direction of an acute angle with the line of force
D) None of the above
@ Vishal
Assuming the charge is initially at rest and no other forces are acting on the particle then,
The force acting on the charge = qE, where, q is the charge and E is the magnitude of electric field.
The direction of the force will be in the direction of electric field if the charge is positive and vice-verse if the charge is negative. And it will travel along line of force.
