As we have learned

Aluminium chloride preparation -

Prepared by passing dry chroline over alumina and carbon. It exists as dimer Al2Cl6

- wherein

Al_{2}O_{3}+3C+3Cl_{2}\rightarrow 2AlCl_{3}+3CO

 Aluminium chloride exists in iconic form in H_2O  because of large hydration energy but upon heating when H_2O will vapourize it will exist in covalent dimer form which is more stable

Option 1)

AlCl_{3}\; \;

Option 2)

\; Al_{2}Cl_{6}\;

Option 3)

\; Al_{2}O_{3}\;

Option 4)

\; Al(OH)Cl_{2}
