For efficient transmission, the height of antenna should be comparable to quarter of wavelength.     

 

 Given the frequency = 1 MHz = 10 ^6 Hz

Wavelength of an electromagnetic wave = c/f 

\Rightarrow d = \frac{3 \times 10 ^8m/s}{10^6 Hz}

\Rightarrow d =300 m

Minimum length of antenna = d/4 

= 75 m
