Prophase-I -

Prophase of the first  meiotic division is usually longer and is further divided into three phases based on chromosomal behaviour.

Diakinesis -

Final Stage of  prophase -I marked by terminalisation of chaismata. Chromosomes are fully condensed and -meiotic spindle is assembled to prepare the homologous chromosome for seperation.

Zygotene -

The second stage of Prophase I. Chromosomes starts pairing together in a process called synapsis. Each paired chromosome is homologous. Synapsis is accompanied by the formation of the complex structures-synaptonemal complex.
