As we have learned

Condition on Limits -

If  f(x)  get closes and closer to a number  L as  x  gets closer and closer to 'c'  from either side the  L  is the limit of  f(x) as  x  approaches 'c'.

\lim_{x\rightarrow c}f(x)=L

- wherein

Where  x  approaches  c

As x gets closer to 3 , then x^{2} will get closer to 9 from both sides , so x^{2}-3 will get closer to 6 from both sides , so limit will be 6
