As we have learnt,

The number of ways in which a selection of none or one or more objects can be made from n distinct object is  

^n C_0+^{n}C_{1}+\ ^{n}C_{2}+.........+ ^{n}C_{n}=2^{n}

 

Here

Total number of ways of making any number of selections = 25 = 32

To get number of ways of selecting at least 2 objects we will remove number of ways of selecting 0 and 1 objects, which equal ^5C_0 \,\,and \,\,^5C_1 respectively 

So required number of ways = 32 - 1 - 5 = 26
