As we learnt in

Magnetic moment (M) -

M=NiA

- wherein

N-number of turns in the coil

i-current throughout the coil

A-area of the coil

In  configuration (1) =     m_{net}=\sqrt{m^{2}+m^{2}+2mm\ cos\ 90^{o}}\sqrt{m^{2}+m^{2}}=\sqrt{2}m

In configuration (2) =      m_{net}=m-m=0

In configuration (3) =      m_{net}=\sqrt{m^{2}+m^{2}+2m^{2} \ cos\ 30^{o}}

                                                                                m_{net}=\sqrt{2m^{2}+2m^{2}\left(\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2} \right )}

                                                                                m_{net}=m\sqrt{2+\sqrt{3}}

In configuration (4) =     m_{net}=\sqrt{m^{2}+m^{2}+2m^{2} \ cos\ 60^{o}}

                                                                                m_{net}=\sqrt{2m^{2}+2m^{2}\left(\frac{1}{2} \right )}=\sqrt{3}m
