  • Option 1)

    4ms-2 upwards

  • Option 2)

    4ms-2 downwards

As we discussed in concept

Newton's 2nd Law -

F\propto \frac{dp}{dt}

F=\tfrac{kdp}{dt}

F=\tfrac{d\left (mv \right )}{dt}

F=\tfrac{m\left (dv \right )}{dt}

\frac{dv}{dt}=a

Therefore  F=ma

- wherein

K=1 in C.G.S & S.I

 Net force (F) = T - mg

                     ma = T - mg

2000 a = 28000 - 20000 = 8000

a\:=\: \frac{8000}{2000} = 4\:ms^{-2}\:(upwards)

Option 1)

4ms-2 upwards

This option is correct.

Option 2)

4ms-2 downwards

This option is incorrect.

Option 3)

14ms-2 upwards

This option is incorrect.

Option 4)

30ms-2 downwards

This option is incorrect.
