Matrices, order of matrices, row and column matrix -

A set of \mathrm{m\times n} numbers (real or complex) or objects or symbols arranged in form of a rectangular array having m rows and n columns and bounded by brackets [?] is called matrix of order m × n, read as m by n matrix.

E.g for m = 2 and n =3, we have \begin{bmatrix} 2 & 4 & -3\\ 5 & 4 & 6 \end{bmatrix}  order of this matrix is 2×3

Column matrix: A matrix containing only one column is known as a column matrix. So a matrix  \mathrm{A=[a_{ij}]_{m\times n}\;}  is said to be column matrix when n = 1.

E.g :

\\\mathrm{\begin{bmatrix} a_{11}\\ a_{21}\\ a_{31}\\ ...\\ ...\\ a_{m1}\end{bmatrix}_{m\times 1}}

A matrix that contains only one row or one column is also known as vectors i.e. row vectors and column vectors.

Here m=3 and n=1, therefore, order or given matrix is 3x1

hence, the correct option is (d)
