  • The coagulation power of cations for negatively charged colloids is:
    Si+4 > Al3+ > Mg2+ > Na+
  • The coagulation power of anion for positively charged sol is:
    [Fe(CN)6]4- > PO43- > SO42- > Cl-.

 

As_{2}S_{3} is negatively charged sol. Hence, Al^{3+} is the most effective coagulating agent as the higher is the magnitude of positive charge, the higher is the coagulating power.
