Diamond unit all is FCC with 4 atoms additionally bonded tetrahedrally which have full contribution to the all. 

So, no.of atoms =6 \times \frac{1}{2}+\frac{1}{8}\times 8+4

                            =3+1 +4= 8 \ Catoms
