If two resistances are in Parallel -

 

R_{eq}=\frac{R_{1}R_{2}}{R_{1}+R_{2}}

- wherein

i.e. \frac{Multiplication}{Addition}

 

 

R_{eq}=\frac{R_{1}R_{2}}{R_{1}+R_{2}}<R_1\: \: or\: \: R_2
