What is the dimension of Potential Gradient?

Answers (1)

Potential Gradient is Rate of Change of Potential(Energy) with position

for example ‘

If V(x) is potential then on a V(x) versus x graph the gradient is the slope of the curve at any point x.

So the gradient = Change in Potential/ change in position point

Dimension [ dV/dx} = [energy]/[ length] = [M L2 T-2 ] / [L ] = [ M L T-2]
