Ax+By+\lambda =0  is line parallel to Ax+By+C =0 .

Where \lambda is some constant other than C.

 

 Equation of the line 

Parallel is 3x+4y = \lambda

It passes through (1,-1)

Thus 3-4 =  \lambda 

 \lambda = -1 

3x+4y + 1 = 0
