best_answer

The audible range of sound for human beings extends from about 20 Hz to 20 KHz. Hence, we are unable to hear the sound made by them. Bats use echolocation to sense movement and their surroundings. We cannot hear the high pitched noise they emit because it is of a higher frequency than the human ear can register.
