A housewife has 11 litre of solution that contains milk and water in the ratio 3:1. She adds 250 ml of 3:2 solution of milk and water to it and then uses 250 ml of the combined mixture to make curd. How much of pure milk is she left with?
1,000 ml
7250 ml
7500 ml
7200 ml
9125 ml
11L = 3:1, milk = 33/4 L , 11/4 L = water
250 ml = 382 , milk = 150 , water = 100 L
Total milk = 633/4, water = 411/4
Milk= 8.4 L , water = 2.85 L
Now 250 ml taken out of 11.25 L means 1/10th part taken so final milk = 8.4 x 9/10= 7.20L
