A housewife has 11 litre of solution that contains milk and water in the ratio 3:1. She adds 250 ml of 3:2 solution of milk and water to it and then uses 250 ml of the combined mixture to make curd. How much of pure milk is she left with?

11L = 3:1, milk = 33/4 L , 11/4 L = water

250 ml = 382 , milk = 150 , water = 100 L

Total milk = 633/4, water = 411/4

Milk= 8.4 L , water = 2.85 L

Now 250 ml taken out of 11.25 L means 1/10th part taken  so final milk = 8.4 x 9/10= 7.20L
