A train leaves Muzaffarpur from Hazipur at 2:15 p.m. @ 50kmph. Another train leaves Hazipur for Muzaffarpur at 1:35 p.m.@ 60kmph. If the distance between two station is 590 km at what distance in km from Muzaffarpur will the two train meet?

Train A leaves at 2:15 & Train B leaves at 1:35.

Speed of Train A = 50 kmph

Speed of Train B = 60 kmph

Distance between two points = 590

Distance covered by Train B till 2:15 = 60 x 40/60 => 40 Km

Distance left between them at 2: 15 = 590 - 50 => 550

But they will cover this in the ratio 5: 6

11 units = 550

distance required to meet from Muzzaffarpur =  550 x 5/11 => 250
