The average age of family just after the second  child was born was 15 years. The average age of the family after the third and the   fourth children (who are twins) were born was 12 years. If the present average age  of the family of six persons is 16 years, how old is the eldest child?

Couple sum of ages = 50 years
Couple + after child = 54 years
Couple + 2 child = 60 years
present age = 96 years
H+W= 50
H+W+I = 54                  As just after birth of first child (I) = 0
H+W+I+II = 60 => 29+29+2+0
H+W+I+II+III+IV = 72 =>32+32+5+3+0+0
Present = 96,  so 24 years gap
each will grow 4 years, I child = 5+4 = 9 years
