How to Prepare for SBI Clerk - SBI Clerk also among the most awaited examinations for banking aspirants. Important Points:

  • Merit List will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks.

  • There are sectional timings for a particular section.

  • There will be 1/4 negative marking.

Final Selection

  • The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the mains examination.

  • A candidate qualified in mains examination has to undergo the Document verification & language proficiency test.

  • If you have studied the regional language in your 10th / 12th examination then you will not need to take the language proficiency test.

  • The final allotment list will be prepared on the basis of document verification & language proficiency test.

  • Final Merit List will be prepared out of 100 marks.

How to Prepare For SBI Clerk - Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude

  • Quantitative Aptitude & Numerical Ability is the same thing. So, comprehensive preparation for both can be done.

  • The calculation is the most essential thing you should start with. 

  • After brushing up your calculation skills, try to implement those into simplification and approximation questions.

  • In this series, here you should start with the arithmetic topics like- percentage, Ratios, Interest.

  • For static banking terminologies, you can refer to the RBI website or can know about the terminologies using the internet.

  • For Static Awareness, you can use the internet to cover topics like - rivers, dams, capital, currencies, etc.

  • A newspaper, news Channel & Monthly current affairs magazine can be the big source to prepare this section in a comprehensive manner.

  • Static is something that can be taken out of current affairs. Let’s say a current affairs statement is ‘Prime Minister of Israel came in India’ then the static question related to this line can be:

  • Q. What is the Capital Of Israel.
  • Q. What is the Currency Of Israel
  • Q. Who is the President Of Israel, etc. 

 

How to Prepare For SBI Clerk- Computer Awareness

From the last 2-3 years, the role of this section is decreasing as the number of questions is decreasing. 2-3 years ago, this was a dedicated section in the banking examination but nowadays they have merged it with Reasoning Ability for Mains Examination. In this new version, only 5% to 10% of the question belongs to the computer. So, devoting so much time for this many marks is not worth it.

  • After clearing concepts of each topic, take a topic test to master the topic.
