SBI POSBI PO 2018: The official notification for recruitment of Probationary Officers in State Bank of India (SBI) has been released by the Central Recruitment & Promotion Department. The online registration process for SBI PO application began on April 21. Candidates can fill SBI PO application form 2018 online from April 21 to May 13, 2018. The recruitment process of SBI PO 2018 comprises three stage selection procedure - Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Group Exercise & Interview. The preliminary exam is an objective test for 100 marks and is qualifying in nature. The mains examination comprises objective test and descriptive test. The objective test carries 200 marks and descriptive test is for 50 marks. Phase III of SBI PO selection process i.e. Group Exercise and Interview will be held for 20 and 30 marks respectively. Indian citizens in the age group of 21 to 30 years can fill SBI PO application form. General and OBC candidates have to pay Rs. 600 and SC/ST/PWD candidates have to pay Rs. 100 as the intimation charges and application fee of SBI PO 2018 recruitment. Candidates who applications for SBI PO recruitment are accepted by the exam conducting authority will be issued SBI PO admit card 2018 for the preliminary exam starting from June 18. The SBI PO prelim 2018 is scheduled to be held on 1, 7 and 8 July. Whereas, the mains exam of SBI PO recruitment will be conducted on August 4. The last stage of SBI PO recruitment process i.e. Group Exercises and Interview will be held from September 24 and October 12. SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2018

Nationality: Only Indian citizens can apply

Educational Qualification: Candidates should hold a graduation degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline from an university recognised by the central government. Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation can also apply.

SBI PO Application Form 2018

The application form of SBI PO has been released on April 21. The application process of SBI PO 2018 is online and applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted by the commission. The application fee of SBI PO 2018 is Rs 600 for General & OBC Category candidates and Rs 100 for SC/ST/PWD. The SBI PO 2018 application form comprises five steps – registration, uploading of scanned images of signature & photograph, filling up of basic details and submission of application form.

SBI PO Exam Pattern 2018

As per the exam pattern of SBI PO 2018, candidates have to appear for a preliminary exam, followed by mains exam and group exercises and interview at last.

The preliminary examination consists of objective test of 100 marks which is conducted online. The test is of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections – English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Candidates can check the paper pattern for prelims of SBI PO below.

SBI PO Question Papers 2018

Candidates preparing for SBI PO 2018 should solve practice papers as part of their preparation. The SBI PO question papers 2018 are available in online and offline mode. Based on the SBI PO result 2017 of prelims candidates will be shortlisted for mains exam. SBI PO Cutoff 2018

SBI will decide the cutoff for every stage of SBI PO 2018 recruitment process. Candidates will have to secure marks according to the cutoff at every stage in order to be declared qualified and be eligible for the next stage of the selection procedure. SBI decides overall and sectional cutoff for both the preliminary and mains exam. Candidates who qualify prelims and mains exam by securing marks according to the cutoff will be called for group exercises and interview.

SBI PO Selection Procedure 2018

The selection procedure of SBI PO 2018 consists of three stages – preliminary exam, mains exam and group exercises & interview. Candidates will have to clear all the stages of SBI PO 2018 selection procedure in order to be selected for the post of probationary officers in SBI branches across the country. The final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in mains exam as well as group exercises and interview. The preliminary exam is qualifying in nature and marks secured in this stage will not be counted for preparation of final merit list.

SBI PO 2018 – Training and Probation

Candidates selected as probationary officers will be on probation for a period of two years during which they will be given intensive training. Towards the end of their probation/training period, they will be subjected to a screening process. While those officers who achieve the predetermined standards may be confirmed and given placement in the next higher grade i.e., Officer Middle Management Grade Scale-II, others who qualify in the test but fail to achieve the standards set for placement in Middle Management Grade Scale-II, will be confirmed as Officer Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The services of those Officers who fail to qualify in this process will be terminated.
