SBI PO Exam Preparation 2020 - SBI Probationary Officer examination is one of the most popular examinations for the aspirants. Important Points:

  • Merit List will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks.

(ii) Descriptive Test (50 Marks)-

  • It is a computer-based test that will take place just after the objective examination.

  • Here to write your answer you have to type.

  • Letter & Essay writing will be there in this section.

  • The duration of this test will be of 30 minutes.

  • The Maximum marks for this test will be 50.

 

Phase 3 - Group Exercises & Interview (50 Marks)

  • You have to carry your all educational qualification certificates for this phase.

  • First, there will be a group exercise of 20 marks and then Interview carrying 30 marks.

 

Final Selection

  • Preliminary Examination marks will not be counted for preparing the final merit list.

  • The final merit list will be prepared using your Phase 2 & Phase 3 marks.

  • Marks secured by the candidates in the Main Examination (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 marks and Group Exercises & Interview scores of the candidate (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25 marks.

  • Final Selection of the candidate will be out of 100 marks.

How to Prepare for SBI PO - Quantitative Aptitude/Data Analysis & Interpretation

  • Data Interpretation/ Data Analysis is something which is the extended conceptual form of Quantitative Aptitude.

  • The calculation is the most essential thing you should start with while preparing Quantitative Aptitude. To Boost your calculation, you can learn Vedic Maths.

  • After boosting the calculation, you can learn all the chapters related to Arithmetic like - Percentages, Ratio, Time & Work, etc.

  • After preparing arithmetic to prepare the topics which use the application of your arithmetic related concepts like - Equations, Quantity Comparison, Number Series.

  • After clearing all the concepts related to above-said topics you can come to Data Interpretation & Analysis and figure out some analyzing techniques of graphs & Data.

  • The reasoning is something that you can start without knowing any concepts.

  • List down some repeatedly asked topics and take a conceptual clarity over those topics.

  • Consistent practice is the only key to master this section.

  • Solve sudoku, puzzles to increase your mental & logical ability.

How to Prepare for SBI PO -  English Language

  • Take this as a language rather than a subject.

  • Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking are the four ways of mastering a language. So, use all the four ways to learn the language.

  • Go through some basic grammar rules to understand the uses of parts of speech.

  • On a daily basis, Read the editorial of any good English newspaper like - The Hindu, The Indian Express & Economic Times.

  • It is the section which can not be prepared overnight. You have to work very seriously in order to score high marks in the mains examination.

  • A newspaper is a source which can prepare your two subjects - English & General Awareness.

  • This section can be divided into three chapters like - Current Affairs, Banking Awareness & Static Awareness.

From the past few years, only 4 to 5 questions from this section appear in the examination. So, it's not worth to give so much attention to this particular section. So, ultimately you can do a thing that solves all the computer-related questions appear in all the banking examinations in the last 5 6 years. How to Prepare For SBI PO - Descriptive Test

  • It is basically a speed test to select the serious aspirants for the Mains examination.

  • Here the difficulty level of the questions will be less and per-question average timing would also be less as compared to Mains examination.

  • This stage is the most important stage in preparing the final merit list.

  • Here the difficulty level will increase and time will also get increased.

  • Group Exercise will take place first & then interview.

  • Prepare some general questions like - Introduction, hobbies, etc.
