JIPMER MBBS 2020: The exam will be conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry. Through JIPMER 2020 exam candidates will get admission into MBBS course in the JIPMER, Puducherry & JIPMER, Karaikal campuses. JIPMER is a national level exam after AIIMS and NEET exam JIPMER MBBS 2020 exam is a third exam which is conducted for MBBS course admission in our country. In 2019, the total number of offered seats for the MBBS program is 200 (150 seats at the JIPMER, Puducherry campus and 50 seats at the JIPMER, Karaikal campus). More than 1.84 lakh candidates took the JIPMER 2019 as last year a total of 1,97,751 candidates registered for JIPMER MBBS entrance exam out of which 1,54,491 candidates appeared. A total of 78,053 candidates cleared the JIPMER 2018 examination.

The JIPMER MBBS 2020 exam will be conducted tentatively in the first week of June 2020 and the registration form will be released tentatively on 1st week of March 2020. JIPMER MBBS 2020 Application Form

As per the tentative dates, the application form of JIPMER MBBS exam will be released on 1st week of March 2020.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 application process involves five steps: 

Step-1 is Registration

  • For registration, the candidate will be required to click on the application form link, enter all the required details like name of the candidate, date of birth, valid email id and active mobile number.
  • After entering all the details, enter the captcha code and click on “register”.

Step-2 is login

  • After registration, the candidate will receive a link to login in their registered email ID and will also receive a User ID and Password on the registered mobile number and email ID both.
  • Click on the link received on the email id, enter user id and password, after submission of details clicks on ‘login” button.

Step-3,

  • a candidate needs to click on the edit button, to fill the application form and enter personal details like name, father name, mother name, date of birth, category, nationality, ID Proof, education details, etc.
  • Apart from this, you will be required to answer questions like if they are a resident of Puducherry etc. in the next section, you have to choose the exam city center and enter your scanned images and signature.

After submitting all the required details, proceed to the Step-4  payment of JIPMER Application fee

  • The application fee for general category and obc category candidates is rupees 1500.
  • For st/sc candidates application fee is rs.1200/-.
  • For NRI candidates the application fee is rs.3000/-
  • And for physically challenged candidates there is no application fee.
  • Now, after submitting all the required details and application fee,  take a printout of the application form and keep it in a safe place for future reference.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria must be checked by all the candidates before filling the registration form. The notification of eligibility criteria will be released along with the application form. As per the eligibility criteria, the qualifying marks to be secured in Class 12 has been changed for each category. 

  • In order to be eligible, general category aspirants must secure at least 50%.
  • For OBC/SC/ST/PWD category required % 40% and for General-PwD category required % is 45% (minimum aggregate marks for PCB subjects only).
  • A candidate must be an Indian citizen/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)/National Residents of India (NRI).
  • Candidate should be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2020.
  • Candidates must be born on or before January 1, 2004.
  •  There is no upper age limit.
  • Candidate must pass the qualifying examination meaning Class 12 examination or an equivalent examination.
  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology in the last two years of study and English as a core subject is required subjects.

So, this is the eligibility criteria for JIPMER MBBS 2020 exam,  If the candidate will not fulfill the given eligibility criteria, then he or she will not be allotted admissions even on qualifying the exam.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 Admit Card

The exam conducting authority will release the JIPMER admit card tentatively in the 4th week of May 2020 through online mode only. Below we are providing the steps for downloading the admit card: 

To download the admit card,

First step: Candidate will be required to visit the official website and click on the link.

Second step: After that, candidate need to enter their ‘User ID and ‘Password’ created at the time of registration and click on the ‘Login’ button.
Third step: After submitting all the required details, the candidate can view and download the JIPMER admit card 2020 and take a print out of the admit card for future reference.

It is advisable to check all the details mentioned on the JIPMER 2020 admit card. if there is any error contact immediately to the concerned authority.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 Syllabus 

If you are preparing for JIPMER MBBS 2020 exam then, with the help of syllabus you can improve your performance. The syllabus of JIPMER 2020 will be the same as prescribed by State Board Higher Secondary and CBSE for Classes 11 and 12. The authority will not provide any fixed syllabus for the examination. As per the previous year exam analysis, the JIPMER syllabus comprises 60 Questions each from Physics, chemistry and biology and 10 questions each from English and logical aptitude.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 Exam Pattern

A good understanding of JIPMER 2020 exam pattern will give test-takers the knowledge of question distribution, marking scheme, syllabus, etc, and will help candidates in preparing for the exam.

As per the exam pattern,

  • Mode of the exam is online, it is a computer-based test.
  • The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours.
  • The exam will be conducted in two shifts, The morning shift will be conducted from 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM while the timing for afternoon shift will be from 3.00 PM to 5.30 PM. 
  • Paper will be in the English language.
  • Total number of Question is 200 and there will be multiple choice questions only.
  • The question paper is divided into 5 sections, 60 questions each will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology while 10 questions will be asked from English Language & Comprehension and Logical & Quantitative Reasoning.
  • The question paper will contain multiple choice based questions.
  • 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer
  • 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
