We have given that ccp lattice is formed by Y and octahedral voids are occupied by X.

 Thus, the number of atoms Y=4

We know that the number of octahedral voids in any closed-packed structure is equal to the number of atoms forming the lattice.

The number of octahedral voids = 4 for one unit cell.

Thus, X=4

Hence the formula of the compound =X_4Y_4?  or 4XY

The empirical formula or the simplest formula can hence be written as \text{XY}

Therefore, Option(1) is correct
