Gibbs energy of the reaction -

\Delta_{r}G=-nFE_{cell}

- wherein

\Delta _{r}G = gibbs energy of the reaction

E_{cell}= emf of the cell

nF = amount of charge passed

 The cell reaction can be written as

cu+2Ag^{+}\rightarrow cu^{2+}+2Ag

we know that \Delta G^{0}=nFE^{0}_{cell}

\Delta G^{0}=-2\times 96500\times 0.46=-88780J

\Delta G^{0}=-89kJ

Option 1)

-89.0 kJ

This is correct option

Option 2)

-89.0 J

This is incorrect option

Option 3)

-44.5 kJ

This is incorrect option

Option 4)

-98.0 kJ

This is incorrect option
