My question is why can't blood group A donet blood group B

Answers (3)

The person with the blood group A will have antigen A and antibody b. The person can donate blood to the persons having the blood group A or AB.
He can receive blood from A or O blood group. The donation and the receiving of the blood groups are decided with the compatibility of the antigens and the antibodies so that they do not react and cause coagulation.

because blood group A has antigen A  and it has antibody anti B  so if u donate blood group A to blood group B the antibody in A antiB will destroy the antigen B

The alleles for blood group A are-   IA and i or IA and IA.

The alleles for blood group B are-   IB AND i or IB and IB

Since the antigen in A and B are different,i.e., A and B, there is bound to be some reaction between the antigen of one group and antibody of another group, which can be lethal. This is the reason why blood group A individual cannot donate blood to group B individual.
