Soybean belongs to family Fabaceae. Flowers of soybean are zygomorphic i.e. their symmetry remains intact when the flower is cut into two equal halves only through one particular vertical plane passing though the center. It contain both, male and female sexual organs as androecium and gynoecium. Hence, flower is said bisexual. It contain 5 fused sepals and 5 free petals as odd, largest, posterior petal called as standard or vexillum, two lateral petals called as wing and two innermost, anterior ones are united to form a boat shaped structure called as keel. It contains 10 stamens in diadelphous condition as 9+1 (stamens are fused together by their filaments to form two bundles) contain monocarpellary ovary.
