Vascular tissues of angiosperms differ from those of gymnosperms in
Presence of vessels in the xylem
presence of well-developed sieve tubes in phloem
presences of companion cells in phloem
all of these
As we learned
Vesseles -
It is advanced conducting element of xylem. Vessels are multicellular with wide lumen and perforated and wall. The transverse septum is absent, vessels are more capable for conduction of water than tracheids.
- wherein
Vessels are only found in xylem of angiosperm but exceptionally absent in dracaena, yucca dazinaria, drimys.
Some gymnosperms, like ephedra, welwitschia and gnetum also contain vessels.
