The placenta is a temporary organ which is consists of veins and tissues, found in mammals. The placenta develops during pregnancy that connects the fetus to the uterus of the mother.
It helps in providing nutrition and oxygen to the growing fetus in the uterus of the mother. As well as, it helps in excreting the waste product from the fetus.
