Distance covered in 1 liter petrol  = 16 km

The distance that will be covered in 2\frac{3}{4} liter petrol.

=16\times2\frac{3}{4}

=16\times\frac{11}{4}

=\frac{11\times16}{4}

=11\times4

=44\:km

Hence 44 km can be covered using  2\frac{3}{4} liter petrol.
