It is given that the radius of the circle is $2 \ cm$

Now, we know that

Area of the circle (A) = $\pi r^2$

$\Rightarrow \pi r^2= 3.14 \times(2)^2= 12.56 \ cm^2$                                      - (i)

Now,

Now, Area of square  = $a^2$

$\Rightarrow a^2 = (6)^2 = 36 \ cm^2$                                                   -(ii)

Now, the remaining area is (ii) - (i)

$\Rightarrow 36 - 12.56 = 23.44 \ cm^2$

Therefore, the area of the remaining aluminium sheet  is  $23.44 \ cm^2$
