Q. 14.     A circular flower garden has an area of 314\; m^{2} . A sprinkler at the centre of the garden can cover an area that has a radius of  12 m . Will the sprinkler water the entire garden? (Take \pi =3.14)

It is given that the radius of the sprinkler is 12 m

Now, we know that

Area of the circle (A) = \pi r^2

Area cover by sprinkle is

\Rightarrow \pi r^2= 3.14 \times(12)^2= 452.16 \ m^2

And the area of the flower garden is 314\; m^{2}                         

Therefore,  YES  sprinkler water the entire garden
